Avenue Therapies

Unit 55, ❒ Basepoint Enterprise Centre, Andersons Rd, Southampton SO14 5FE, United Kingdom
What We Offer:

At Avenue Therapies we are passionate about supporting children and adults, from all walks of life, to access the therapy they need. Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, daunting and confusing. We believe that everyone has the psychological strength and resilience to overcome their difficulties, whatever those might be. However, we also know that at times, you might not believe that this is possible. Therefore, we aim to help you begin to see that the life you want is possible by firstly understanding your difficulties and what they mean for you and your life. From there, we can then find ways forward to address the difficulties.  How we do this will depend on the problem, what you want to achieve and what therapeutic approach fits you as an individual.  We can either work with a ‘pure’ therapy, or integrate relevant parts of different therapies and adapt things depending on what will be the most appropriate for you. We are located in the heart of Basepoint Enterprise Centre, Andersons Rd, Southampton.

Avenue Therapies provided me with a fantastic level of care. The service is completely judgement free and provided me with the tools to move forward. The first therapist I can genuinely say has helped after around 20 years of difficulties. I would highly recommend Kathryn and wouldn’t hesitate to return for a refresher or for further help if ever needed.
Anna got me out of a very tricky spot that I’d been in for some years. A very fast response to my initial rambling email of “I’m not very well” and then a very high level of care. I would strongly recommend this team to anyone struggling along.
We used the service to help with our daughters attachment issues. It was a rewarding experience for all of us. I would recommend the service to anybody.

Steps To Wellbeing Southampton

3rd Floor, greenville house, Nelson Rd, Southampton SO15 1GX, United Kingdom
What We Offer:

Common Mental Health conditions affect a large number of people of working age and they are a significant cause of absence from work. Evidence suggests that mental health problems can also cause lower productivity while employees are attending work, known as presenteeism. Research suggests that being in work can have benefits for people with mild to moderate mental health problems, and that the longer that somebody is absent from work due to their mental health issues, the less likely they are to return. Therefore it is vital that support is provided to people where their problems are impacting on their work, either to prevent them having to leave work or to ensure a return to work as quickly as possible. The Steps 2 Wellbeing Service works closely with individuals, employers and other third sector organisations to ensure individuals with mental health problems are able either to remain at work or to return to work. Anyone accessing support through the Steps2Wellbeing service can take advantage of out employment service

Matt was awesome. Never thought I could learn so much and feel so validated in such a safe space. Truly wonderful. Thank you so much for all your help. A great service & practitioner.
At the end of 2019 I underwent a 12 week course of CBT for anxiety and chronic depression. This is about the 3rd or 4th time I have used this excellent service, this time I am continuing to take antidepressants which together with the therapy is helping me to maintain a balance, whereas before I stopped the antidepressants fairly soon after the therapy finished. This time I had a follow up session about 2 months later to see how it was going brilliant, it gave me that bit of extra support.
Only had initial assessment so far, but the Trainee dealing with my call (Sophie) was really friendly, put me at ease, explained why certain questions were being asked and has definitely made me feel a lot less nervous about undertaking some form of therapy, having never had the nerve to do so before.
