I had a successful Revision Left Total Hip Replacement in January this year (2022) carried out by Mr Gorav Datta and his incredible team. The care and attention I received pre-op, during the surgery it self and post-op was truly outstanding. On discharge I followed everything I had been advised to do with my physio exercises and rest. I set myself a new challenge each day and am delighted to say that by 6 weeks I was back in the pool walking. 8 weeks swimming, 10 weeks driving my manual car. Then amazingly by 12 weeks I was off my crutches outdoors walking 5,000 steps a day without limping or pain and back to my love of kayaking which I celebrated with a 2hr pain free emotional Kayak (in picture).
I had a total hip replacement at the end of \November last year (2021), first class treatment along with excellent surgeon. Most Nursing staff very good and made me feel at ease. Mr Datta deserves the highest praise and I would have no hesitation in recommending him, his care and attention to detail are second to none.
I have 6 very beloved ponies and I work in the equine industry. His interventions have meant that I am able to continue my horse centred activities. I don’t have words to describe the value of this gift, which honestly feels quite miraculous.

Mr Amir Qureshi is an internationally-trained consultant knee surgeon and limb reconstruction specialist in the Southampton area. I can’t thank enough Dr Qureshi for organising my TKR surgery at Nuffield health in very short time during crucial time of pandemic and post surgery care provided was excellent. I had a total knee replacement at The Spire Hospital in Southampton. The care I received whilst in hospital was excellent. Mr Mark Frame was the surgeon who carried out the knee replacement. I received a spinal block with sedation, which was very effective. My Frame stated that there was a possibility that I would be driving in three weeks. I didn’t believe this at first. Well, he was spot on. I was driving in three weeks along with my normal keep fit class. I am truly grateful to Mr Frame and his wonderful team for the expertise and professionalism shown to me and many thanks to the speedy recovery that I have experienced.
