Best primary school in Hampshire! The the teachers are very good and highly motivated. The Head Mistresses management is second to none and has created a balanced atmosphere of good learning and the development of social skills for all the children who are from a wide variety of back grounds.
Very very nice. The teachers are very kind and teach well. The people there are very friendly too.

The Little Shipmates Family was established by parents Helen and Clive in 2000. Both had previously trained and worked in schools throughout the Hampshire area, and came from a strong background in all aspects of education – including teaching, learning and management. Drawing on their own experience and knowledge of the sector, they decided to open the Little Shipmates Day Nursery in Hythe over 20 years ago; a small, cosy centre with 30 places and big dreams. Located in the heart of Southampton, Sunrise Day Nursery caters for students at Southampton City College as well as the local community. My child has been going here for some time now and absolutely loves it! When he first started the staff were really happy to hear that he liked to play Cowboys and Indians, I really enjoy knowing that they are encouraging him to pursue a good career in the future he has told me on different days that he wants to be a cop, a construction worker or just work with leather. After having a mini-career day at the setting I was overjoyed that he now wants to follow in his great-grandfathers footsteps and be “in the navy” when he is older, it must be the settings close location to the waterfront that has him thinking like this.
My son has a great time at the nursery. There is lots of space and a large garden. He has an excellent relationship with his key person. Staff are always quick to deal with any issues that arise. I can see he is well cared for and loved.
My son has been at this nursery a couple of years. He enjoys it.
