legendary venue is great. Really like the (unusual) selection of beers. Staff are always welcoming and human.
Fantastic venue with a great selections of bands playing the most nights. A personally highlight for me is seeing Wolf Alice! Keep up the great work.
The place is just great. A proper venue. The bar was appropriately staffed so no waiting around to be served, bar prices are surprisingly reasonable and the sound from the stage was fantastic.

Good venue with great sound – saw a band called Bodega here. The toilets need improving but the rest of the venue fine.
Visited a few times now. Small music venue, which you get to via steep staircase so not great if you have any disability issues. It’s very dark (as are the toilets so have your torch ready, and a tissue as there’s never any toilet paper 😂) Staff are friendly. Good atmosphere and good sound. Went to see Saint Raymond on the 10th who was fab! (As was Casey Lowry.
Saw The Big Moon here and I loved every second of it! Wonderful little music venue.

With a capacity of more than 750 for standing only gigs, over 500 for club nights or 200-300 seated theatre style, The 1865 is set to become the city’s new destination for entertainment. Excellent venue from a performing and audience point of view. Friendly helpful management and staff. Awesome p.a. and engineering by Rich. Quality lighting by I think his name was John. Great green room. Door staff were polite and helpful. Good bar and prices. Team pulled together well and a good show came to life.
The 1865 is an excellent venue for seeing live bands. Lighting and audio are fantastic! The room was a bit chilly but I think there was a temporary heating issue (hence my rating of 4/5). There is a lovely bar with reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff too.
A fantastic live music venue. A little off the beaten track but a very good size, good stage, good sound, lovely people. We can’t wait to go back. Holds 300 people and it can be formatted as a seated, cabaret or standing venue.
