What We Offer:

MONTY’S BIKE HUB is a social enterprise & charity supporting all things cycling in the east of Southampton, whilst empowering local people with new skills and opportunities. We run a range of services throughout the week which you can drop in to or you can book us in for a bespoke session for you or your organisation. We recycle and refurbish donated bikes and then sell them at affordable prices to the community. Come and check out our bikes on Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday evening 7pm or Thursday afternoon. We are experts at working with young people and run drop in youth bike workshops, alternative provision in schools and led rides in school holidays. Adult cycle confidence sessions and childrens cycle skills / learn to ride sessions are available to be booked. With our well equipped workshop and a wealth of cycling knowledge we can deal with an extensive variety of repairs. From road bikes to kids bikes, commuting hybrids and town bikes, mountain bikes and fixies.

I had an amazing experience with Monty’s Bike Hub. I attended two sessions of cycling confidence sessions funded by the city council as I plan to start cycling to work. The instructor Josh is brilliant and professional who guided me to pick the easiest cycling routes, and shared a lot of useful tips when cycling in the city. I was very nervous to cycle on road but now getting more confident. I definitely recommend every beginner to have a couple of sessions with them.

An absolute amazing place. Everyone there is so helpful and knowledgeable. They are really nice and always happy to help at there repair hubs and they regularly have a fantastic selection of second hand bikes for very respectable prices.

I have always had great service from Monty’s Bike Hub. Thanks Guys for your good work and help.

Absolute treasure of a bike shop! The mechanic seamlessly jumped between advising on a very high end bike to giving me a perfect rough and ready bike touring solution to a critical problem. Will definitely be coming back, and recommending to all my cycling friends.

Excellent service. Friendly, informative, and fast service of my bike. Explained the breakdown of costs when I dropped my bike off, so no hidden fees. Even stayed open late so I could collect my bike after work. Would highly recommend rideride.

RideRide Bassett got me back on the road in no time and at a very reasonable cost. My bike had been supplied to me with an 8 speed chain on a 9-speed cassette which led to a very rough, notchy feeling and premature wear. The local dealer who supplied it failed to spot this either at the pre delivery inspection or the first service.
